| In fact, I just listened to one version:
#1 Example: Keith Richards, who sings the one line in question exactly the same as Susan does, i.e., "Let's do some living after WE die"..and makes perfect sense to many people. Think about it (singers are known to change a word here & there to suit the moment and/or the singer, etc.) It's intentional, not "wrong". |

| I love Susans version of this song, but I think it's a shame that she didn't get the lyrics correct, if you listen to the Rolling Stones version, which imho is the best, you will hear the correct lyrics.The lyrics Should be-Graceless lady, you know HOW I am,not who I am, and also it's not lets do some living after we die(that doesn't make sense), it should be-lets do some living after LOVE dies.Shame , it spoils the song for me, although I do love her voice. |
